CDC NSTOP - AFENET Annual Site Visit in Kampala, Uganda

The National Stop Transmission of Polio (NSTOP) initiative, supporting polio eradication in Africa under the Global Immunization Division (GID) branch of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), held a site visit to the African Field Epidemiology Network Offices from 28 – 30 November 2018 in Kampala, Uganda.

 

The objectives of the site visit were to: review status of Year 4 projects and activities, define, outline, coordinate plan for Year 5 activities, discuss post-year 5 planning (NOFO process and timelines), meet with AFENET in-country Points of Contact (POCs), as well as review CoAg management and administration policies and procedures.

 

During the meeting, the team met discussed among other key priorities, the CDC Cooperative Agreement (2015-2020) - 1 U2G GH001635, and drafted an Annual Performance Report for the project activities.
