The District Health Information System 2 (DHIS2) RI module was handed over on January 24, 2019 to Cross-River and Ekiti states as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) authorities for onward support and implementation. Present were; RI stakeholders, donor agencies and implementing partners. The RI stakeholders in the various state commended NSTOP for job done and the successes achieved as staff were trained, laptops were donated, registers were made available and the continuous technical support rendered. Another great achievement of the program is the adoption of DHIS2 as the only electronic reporting platform in the country for health intervention.
The project was initially rolled out in February 2017 and was supported for 24 as stipulated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). NSTOP has handed over DHIS2 RI module implementation in 21 states plus the FCT. Presently, 15 more states are left.
The Global Immunization Division (GID) supportive supervision exercise
The Global Immunization Division (GID) project conducted supportive supervision in Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Adamawa, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kano, and Jigawa states. Prior to the commencement of field work, advocacy visits were paid to the RI stakeholders in the states. Findings from the exercise revealed that the NFELTP fellows had been integrated into the state structure and are participating in several state activities and WHO and other implementing partners have assimilated the fellows into all surveillance activities in the state
