The Tanzania FELTP conducted a mentorship program of 38 trainees from Kigoma and Kagera regions of Tanzania. The program conducted mentoring visits to 38 trainees of the frontline program, 17 of which are from the animal sector. The mentoring was aimed to provide support to the trainees to develop surveillance reports, conduct monitoring and evaluation of surveillance systems in their workstations and conducting data quality audits. Trainees were recruited from all 8 districts in Kigoma region and 7 districts in Kagera region.
Tanzania FELTP held a Program Meeting on 31 January 2019. The Meeting was chaired by Dr Rogath Kishimba, and attended by Dr Ahmed Abade, Resident Advisor, Virgilia Killian, Administrator, Patrick Kamugumya, Administrator and Loveness Urio, Lab Fellow
The meeting was aimed at the following; to update Cohort IX, and X, review intermediate course, frontline course, as well as review the financial status of (PEPFAR, PMI. World Bank, GHS), outbreaks investigated, the steering committee and finalize the 10th Anniversary.
