A delegation from the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) met with AFENET management and grants team led by the Dr Simon Antara – Ag. Executive Director AFENET. The meeting aimed at exploring opportunities for collaboration on epidemiologic studies as a part of an effort to develop vaccines from epidemic prone diseases in Africa. The focus will be on Lassa fever in West Africa and Rift Valley Fever in the East and Southern Africa Region.
CEPI is a global alliance financing and coordinating the development of vaccines against infectious diseases. CEPI wants to galvanise the development of new vaccines against diseases we know could cause the next devastating epidemic.
