A high-level delegation led by the Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), together with the CDC Country Director and key partners, visited the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) hotspot to assess the situation on the ground and strengthen coordination of the ongoing response efforts.
AFENET played a key supporting role, providing logistical assistance that ensured the success of the visit. Several ACoDD members were also in attendance, lending their expertise and helping to facilitate engagement with local response teams.
While the Ministry of Health, CDC, and partners served as the main actors driving the discussions and decision-making, the visit underscored the strong collaboration among all stakeholders committed to containing the outbreak and safeguarding public health.
Currently, 27 ACoDD members are deployed in the field in Bulape, a community in Kasai Province, actively supporting surveillance, case investigation, and community engagement activities as part of the response effort.
