Mozambique Field Epidemiology Training Program of Mozambique gears up for 3rd Scientific Conference

The National Institute of Health, in close collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine at Eduardo Mondlane University, the National Directorate of Public Health (DNSP) of the Ministry of Health (MISAU), and with the support of the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has announced the 3rd Scientific Conference of the Field Epidemiology Training Program of Mozambique (FETP-Mozambique). The conference will take place from October 21 to 23, 2025, Maputo City in a hybrid format.

The conference will be held under the theme: “Field Epidemiology: A Key Pillar for Strengthening Preparedness and Response to Public Health Emergencies” 

This conference aims to foster scientific and technical discussions on the key challenges and advancements in the field of epidemiological surveillance. It will provide a platform for sharing evidence, best practices, and strategies to enhance the national response to public health emergencies.

The conference is targeted at residents and graduates of FETP-Mozambique, members of the Lusophone Network of Field Epidemiology Training Programs, health system professionals, academics, representatives of partner institutions, and other key stakeholders in the public health sector, both nationally and internationally.
