· Consultative meetings for the 8 Universities for the Ethiopia FELTP were held from 30 November 2018 until 4 December 2018. The first consultative meeting took place in Bahirdar town which involved over 40 supervisors, academic and program coordinators. The objective of the meeting was to give or find solutions for identified challenges in the training program. The meeting aimed to address challenges at Gondar and Bahirdar, Hawassa universities and 54 other field bases.
· A second similar consultative meeting was held in Arbaminch town for 4 universities including (Addis ababa ,Jimma,,SPMMC and Mekele and 47 field bases to address similar objectives
· The Ethiopia program also held an Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) surveillance training in Diredawa town for 40 front line and advanced trainees and graduates from 7 – 9 December 2018 with the objective of increasing awareness for vaccine derived polo virus circulation in the eastern horn of Africa
· A case study training was held for 25 graduates and academicians from 4 – 14 December 2018 by Richard Dicker from Atlanta, CDC, to increase the knowledge of Resident ad visors,program coordinators in case studies
