MR. Christopher K. Tanui

Mr. Tanui is currently the Head of Operations at AFENET, a position he has held since 2015. He leads the planning and execution of activities in the human resource, procurement, IT and administration functions of the organization, ensuring timely implementation of activities and processing of requests and transactions. Mr. Tanui is a finance and administration professional with over 15 years’ of experience in strategic planning; financial, human resource, procurement, logistics, and administration management; audit; and accounting.

He has experience in private, public and international development sectors where he has delivered on organizational priorities like formulation and implementation of strategies in line with strategic plans; development of finance, human resource, procurement and administration policies; setting up, designing and automation of integrated ERP financial systems; establishment of grant management systems and development of frameworks for grant reporting; donor relations, fundraising and compliance management; financial analysis and reporting; and budget development, implementation and reporting.

Previously, Mr. Tanui worked as the Head Finance and Administration for the African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association; Finance and Administration Manager at the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research and as Finance and Administration Coordinator for CDC/KEMRI Research and Public Health Collaboration.

Mr. Tanui is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya – Membership number CPAK 10424.
