Prof. Serwadda David
Prof. David Serwadda is a Professor in the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health at Makerere University School of Public Health and was Dean from 2003-2009. His interests lie in infectious disease epidemiology and is an award-winning author and scientific editor with over 350 publications in medical journals and book chapters credited to him. The globally recognized scientist and founding member of the Rakai Health Sciences Program was among the first researchers to describe "Slim disease" (AIDS) in Uganda in 1985.
